“The Seven Incorporated Trades are always happy to be invited to send representatives as part of the civic party in the academic procession at Aberdeen University Graduation Ceremonies. This reinforces the centuries old connection – dating back in our case to our first Patron, Dr William Guild, who was Principal of King’s College from 1640 to 1651 – between the University and civic society in Aberdeen. We were particularly pleased to be present at the graduation ceremonies of two ladies who have helped at many of our functions. Greta Andrijauskaite graduated as a Bachelor of Music, with honours, at a ceremony when we were represented by the Deacon Convener and Deacon Hunter (Shoemakers) and Rhianna Coorey graduated with Honours in Education when we were represented by Deacons Duncan (Hammermen) and Morrice (Tailors)”
