On Friday 23 June the Hall was delighted to play host to participants in Maggies Culture Crawl, a fund-raising event in support of Maggie’s Centre in Aberdeen, which offers support to cancer sufferers and their families. Some 400 people undertook a 10 mile walk from Maggie’s Centre at A.R.I., starting at 5 p.m., visiting a number of notable sites in Aberdeen including St Machar Cathedral, Duncan Rice Library, Footdee and more central venues, Trinity Hall, and ending at Duthie Park about midnight. Entertainment and refreshment was provided at various venues, with our offer of a seat and a cup of tea very gratefully received by many. Albacapella sang a capella (unaccompanied) harmonies of their favourite songs for two hours to lift the spirit of the weary walkers as they took on the last mile.
