A celebration dinner was hosted in recognition of Ex Deacon Tom Ironside of the Wrights and Coopers Incorporation who has been Convener of our Heritage Committee for the past 16 years.
Ex Deacon Ironside has given endless hours of time and expertise to Trinity Hall over his 42 years as member, in order for us to maintain and restore our artefacts and archives to the highest standard and for that, we are forever grateful.
Ex Deacon Ironside has set the Heritage Committee in good stead for the future so that we can have the tools and the knowledge to continue on the brilliant work being done.
The Deacon Convener, Andy Leiper, spoke and thanked Ex Deacon Ironside for his dedication to the Committee and to the Trades overall, presenting him with a gift from the Incorporated Trades.
Ex Deacon Convener David N. Parkinson toasted Ex Deacon Ironside and also presented a gift on behalf of the Heritage Committee.
The role of Heritage Committee Convener will be passed on to long term committee member, Ex Deacon Convener David N. Parkinson.
Once again, a huge thank you to Ex Deacon Ironside for all his efforts over the years!
