On Friday 12th June 2026, the Aberdeen Tailors Incorporation was delighted to welcome the talented NESCol Fashion Students to Trinity Hall, Aberdeen for their highly anticipated end-of-year fashion show.
The historic setting of Trinity Hall provided a fitting backdrop for an evening that celebrated creativity, craftsmanship, and the future of the fashion industry in the North East of Scotland. The event brought together students, educators, members of the Incorporation, and invited guests for what proved to be an inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable occasion.
The NESCol (North East Scotland College) fashion students showcased an impressive collection of garments, reflecting the breadth of skills and techniques they have developed over the past academic year. From innovative contemporary designs to carefully constructed traditional pieces, the standard of work on display highlighted the dedication and creativity of the next generation of designers.
Guests were treated to a diverse runway presentation featuring:
- Original student-designed garments
- Innovative fabric use and sustainable fashion elements
- Technical tailoring and construction techniques
- Creative interpretation of current fashion trends
A particular highlight of the evening was the inclusion of garments created as part of the Tailors Awards Scheme, an initiative supported by the Aberdeen Tailors Incorporation to encourage excellence in tailoring and garment construction.
These pieces, previously featured in our earlier post, were proudly presented alongside the students’ wider body of work. The awards scheme continues to play an important role in fostering practical skills, attention to detail, and professional standards among aspiring fashion students.
The evening was widely regarded as a great success, with positive feedback from attendees praising both the quality of the student work and the organisation of the event. The fashion show not only demonstrated the impressive capabilities of NESCol students but also reinforced the strong relationship between the Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen, the Aberdeen Tailors Incorporation, and local educational institutions.
Events such as this highlight Trinity Hall’s ongoing role as a hub for community engagement, heritage, and skills development in Aberdeen.
The Aberdeen Tailors Incorporation is proud to support initiatives that nurture emerging talent and preserve the traditions of tailoring while embracing innovation. The partnership with NESCol continues to provide invaluable opportunities for students to showcase their work in a prestigious setting.
We extend our congratulations to all the students involved and wish them every success in their future careers within the fashion and textile industries.
