On a distinguished evening steeped in tradition and camaraderie, Trinity Hall once again opened its historic doors to welcome guests for the 437th Convener Court Election Dinner — a celebration of heritage, fellowship, and the enduring spirit of Aberdeen’s Incorporated Trades.

A Night of Tradition and Elegance

Held in the magnificent surroundings of Trinity Hall, the evening brought together members of the Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen, invited guests, and dignitaries for a formal dinner that honoured centuries of civic contribution and craftsmanship. The Convener Court Election Dinner is one of the oldest continuous civic traditions in Scotland, and this year’s event was a testament to its lasting significance.

Guests were greeted with a warm welcome and the stirring sounds of the pipes before being ushered into the Master hall, and the coats of arms of the Trades stood proudly on display.

Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future

The 437th Convener Court Election Dinner was not only a celebration of the past but also a reaffirmation of the Trades’ commitment to education, charity, and community engagement. Bursaries, apprenticeships, and charitable initiatives supported by the Trades were highlighted, reminding all in attendance of the enduring impact of their collective efforts.

It was an unforgettable night that honoured tradition while looking confidently toward the future.
