Following an Aberdeen Fleshers Incorporation meal on Tuesday 1st August, Deacon Richard Leith had the honour of presenting Ex Deacon Alan Cain with an engraved butchers block to mark an amazing 50 years of membership with the organisation.
The block is made of beech wood and specially cut to size from a supplier of traditional butcher blocks, who informed Boxmaster Kenny Milne that he would not make another one of that size as it was more challenging than he anticipated.
Ex Deacon Alan Cain thanked the members of the Aberdeen Fleshers Incorporation for the gift, which will be treasured both by him and by his family.
