• Born 7th March at Kuala Lumpur, Malaya, Son of Harold Forrest, Rubber Planter and Susan Copland Berry
  • Educated at Keswick School, Cumberland, Robert Gordons College and Aberdeen University. MA, LLB 1950.
  • 1941 – 22 – War Service, serving with The Royal Fusiliers.
  • 1942 – 46 – Infantry Officer with Royal Garhwal Rifles (Indian Army). Retired with the rank of Major.
  • 1947 – 50 – Apprentice to Adam, Thomson & Ross, thereafter assistant, assumed a partner in 1956. Retired 1987.
  • 1970 – At a meeting of the Convener Court on 26th February, Deacon Convener CAB Duncan seconded by Late Deacon Garden, Mr John Forrest, Advocate in Aberdeen, was appointed Joint Trades Clerk and Assessor to succeed the Late Mr David TN Turner.
  • 1971 – At a meeting of the Convener Court on 21st October, Deacon Convener Ronald A Murray read a letter from Mr John B Forrest in which he intimated his resignation from office as Joint Trades Clerk and Assessor.
